QUALITY STRUCTURAL STEEL FRAMING
IN ARKANSAS
D&P Steel Erection provides structural steel framing for projects requiring fabricated wide-flange steel, HSS tubing, tube steel columns, moment frames, and engineered connections — as distinct from pre-engineered metal building systems. Our ironworkers are experienced reading IFC structural drawings, following connection schedules, and coordinating with inspectors and special inspection agencies on bolted and welded structural connections.
FABRICATED STRUCTURAL STEEL EXPERIENCE
We work from IFC structural drawings with fabricated wide-flange beams, columns, HSS sections, and engineered connection details — not just metal building erection.
SPECIAL INSPECTION READY
Our crews understand the special inspection process for high-strength bolting and field welding, and we cooperate fully with the Owner's special inspector on every project.
MULTI-STORY CAPABILITY
Experience on multi-story steel structures including plumbing and leveling multi-story columns, floor beam and deck coordination, and working with ironworkers at elevation.
MOMENT FRAME INSTALLATION
Pre-qualified to erect moment-resisting frames and bolted connections per AISC and project specifications for seismic and wind-load applications.

COMMON QUESTIONS
What is the difference between structural steel framing and PEMB erection?
Pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs) are manufactured as complete systems with tapered frames, thin wall sections, and factory-drilled connections. Structural steel framing uses fabricated wide-flange shapes, HSS, and plate steel with engineered connection designs — typically for multi-story, moment-frame, or heavily loaded structures. D&P does both.
Do you work on projects with IBC seismic requirements in Texas?
Yes. We erect structural steel systems designed to meet IBC seismic design requirements in applicable Texas jurisdictions, and we follow the erection sequencing and connection torque requirements specified by the structural engineer.
Can you provide an erection schedule for our GC's baseline schedule?
Yes. We provide activity-based erection schedules with durations, crew assumptions, and critical predecessor activities (steel delivery, crane access, anchor inspection) for incorporation into your overall project schedule.
